Party poodle PARTY!!

Ok, I know that title makes no real sense. But yes.

I'm still in New York. Having a blast.
The other night I hit up Melo-X's bday party, down @ Sutra. I loved the vibes. The Bashment set killed it!!




But lets fast forward. So all my females know bout when your weave gets a bit to much. You wash it right? To restore that airbreeze flow kinda feel into it. Errm yea. So that's what I did. But since I'm out here in New York, I have NO hair dryer! I had to drip dry that ish! OHHH MY!!

I firstly started off like this...


Where's the problem you ask? There wasn't one.

Until after a couple of hours I ended up like this!


Lookin' like a true f*ckin' poodle! WTF. No pun intended. But come on. I looked like a midget Cher meets Chaka Khan.
None the less. I was like whatever. I thought let me hop in a cab, since it's 2am in the morning, Bonnie and I really wasnt feeling the train.

Called up car service "Hey I'd like a price check for Bushwich to lower Manhattan".
Car person customer advisor person, "That would be $50".
I was like...

NIGGUH PLEASE!!!!!!

Fugg dat, called up another, paid a nice $23 and set out...

New York - the story so far

WOW.

BLOODFIYAH, BOMBARARSE. And all other Jamaican cuss words I've picked up from my Dad over the past 19 years.

So, I've been in New York for the past week, still two more to go! It has been ABSOLUTELY crazy. In a good way of course. I love it here!

The first night. I met up with my girl Maluca and we partied. Thats right, straight off the plane and to a party. On some Diddy shit. lool Kidding




I also met up with my homie DJ KKingdom. He's a beast on the decks and the keys! Wuvv you boy!!


Friday we partied it up @ Santos. That's the joint.

I met Q TIP! He's hasnt aged at all!

Wednesday gone we hit Sway, 305 Spring St. It was dope!! I would recommend it!! I also performed there. Shout outs to KKingdom!


It was my first EVER performance. Like EVER, doing one of my own songs. So New York basically took my virginity, Imma be calling ya'll soon for Chile' support.

I stil got 11 days to go. BUT I dont EVER wanna go home!! ARGHH!!

Shedding my skin

Out with the old and in the with NU NUUUU!

Ok so it's be a while and I've just been pondering about certain things. As everyone knows, I currently take Journalism at university, which I've struggled to maintain interest in. Attending lectures was a problem, completing assignements, PROBLEM. Everything just began to shatter. Especially in the last two months.

I'm currently at work on my new E.P. 'Poodles Music and Success' it's going soooo well. You can check out one of the songs to be featured on my Myspace Anyway my love and adoration for music has multiplied beyond measure and I want my brain to swell, explode and ooze everything music related. THEREFORE I HAVE DECIDED next year I will be taking Commerical Music. As my future career lies within music I want to know EVERYTHING, the INS, OUTS and ALL ABOUTS!

Music.
It's in my brain, its my body, its all around me.
It's time.

Now I can smile again, like how I did before...

5 things I love about NY

10th January 08 saw the return of Miss Shamz Le Roc to London.
It's strange. I feel like I've left home and come back to a strange island. Dont get me wrong I'm all for my country but the US, there's just something about it.
Perhap's its

1) The courteousness of everyone. - I paid the cashier and she replied, "Thank you Ma'am, have a nice day." I was confused like, was she really talking to me?

2) The free spirit of everyone - Bonnie and I boarded the metro (train) and just to our advantage was a decent band singing their songs whilst playing instruments.

3) The lights. Times square is on a different level, I'm sorry Picadilly Circus, like Kanye says "YOU LOOSE!!" You just can't compare.

4) All American diners. Can you say Johnny Rockets? (google it)

5) Last but not least, the guys. "Excuse me lady, can I talk to you for a minute please." That was certainly a breath of fresh air to the usual "OI CHOONG TING, MAN TINKS YOUR CHOONG, COME CHAT TO ME!"


N.Y.C I heart you.
Therefore await my return. April 09.

What in the hell?

Why am I awake right now? Do you see the time? It's 3.39am! I swear, I must be some sort of noctural insomniac -hrmmm, what a great song idea. Anywhoo. I would just like to check in, I haven't forgotten about ANY of you who read my blog. I'm still here. I'm getting back into the swing of things as we speak. But yes. Expect more frequent blogs as the weeks pass.

1) (STILL) Ecstatic @ America's new president elect.
2) Focused. I've been in studio a lot. I've also been getting sick with that 'pen'.
